Born in Damascus, Dr. Al-Homsi graduated from Damascus University before moving to France where he received his initial training in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Al-Homsi then relocated to the USA and completed further training. Dr. Al-Homsi specializes in hematological malignancies and blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy. Dr. Al-Homsi’s research focuses on the development of innovative regimens for the prevention of graft-versus-host disease. Dr. Al-Homsi is currently a Professor of Medicine at New York University Grossman School of Medicine and Executive Director of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy at New York University Langone Health.
