Dr. Moreb was born in Rama village, Upper Galilee, Palestine. He graduated from the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem. He completed fellowship in Hematology at the University of Florida, Gainesville and became faculty in the Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplant Section there. Dr. Moreb did laboratory research on hematopoietic stem cells and the different isozymes of aldehyde dehydrogenase. For more than 20 years, Dr. Moreb has focused on taking care of multiple myeloma patients and performing clinical trials related to that. Dr. Moreb retired from University of Florida as Professor Emeritus and started the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program at Novant Health Hospital, part of Novant Health Cancer Institute in Winston-Salem.
